Be sure to read all of the predecessor installments.
I'm going to start out with a quote this time.
"Human design has emerged from the highest currents of a Supreme Intelligence. It's worthy of your trust." Ken Carey
I like this quote because it says in few words much of what I've been saying. Well, onward and upward.
The ideal food should be easy to obtain (for the original humans who had no weapons, tools or traps), it should be simple to prepare (for the original humans who had no knives or other implements and didn't know how to use fire), it should be easy to digest and assimilate (without the use of digestive aids which the original humans did not have), it's wastes should be alkaline (so as to avoid using up calcium) and easy to eliminate (so as to obviate the need for additional fiber). AND the ideal food should NOT be hazardous to your health (as sugar, grains, and animal-based foods are). AND it should provide all the energy and nutrition needed.
Raw fruit is the only food available that fits those logical criteria for humans in a natural setting...and which follow God's laws a/k/a natural sciences. Fruit, in a natural setting, can be obtained easily just by reaching with arms and hands (Nature-provided tools). It is easy to prepare (no cooking) since some fruits need no preparation while others need only to be peeled. Ingestion is only a matter of biting into the fruit and chewing a few times (no thorough mixing with saliva is necessary) before swallowing. Digestion occurs in 30-40 minutes (not the 2-4 hours for starches, meat, and dairy). The wastes are eliminated with ease, because of the high fiber content, in 12-18 hours (not the 2-3 days for grains and animal-based foods). Fruit is not hazardous to human health as are meat, eggs, dairy, grains, and refined sugars.
The sugar in raw fruit (natural fructose) is chemically different from refined sugars and is much easier to digest needing little or no insulin...which is why diabetics can eat raw fruit without concern. Refined sugars require large amounts of insulin for digestion leading to a breakdown of the pancreas and...diabetes. Raw fruit is the BCD for humans as it is for the larger and stronger apes.
The ideal food also means eating as much as you want whenever you want without worrying about overeating or adverse effects (overweight and diseases). Remember, the original humans didn't have scales or calorie counters to guide their eating habits. Yet they were all healthier than the average U.S. citizen and they lived longer (Adam 930 years, Methuseleh 940 years, etc.). Why? Better, more natural diet and no medications. Disease did not appear until humans began eating grains and animal products...and later using chemicals.
The secret of good health is, and always has been, co-operation with Mother Nature.
Frugitarians do not have a need to drink liquids. Since raw fruit is 85% - 95% liquid, fruit eaters obtain all of their necessary liquids from the food they eat. This explains why humans and apes are not physiologically constructed to drink water under natural conditions. Current humans need to drink liquids only because they eat cooked foods. Cooking causes evaporation of the liquids and those evaporated liquids need to be replaced.
The BCD not only improves your health, it simplifies your life. No cooking, no dishwashing.
Since 1985, there have been more than 200 studies reported in well-respected medical journals that correlate dramatic reductions in chronic degenerative and autoimmune disease in those populations whose diets are high in fruits and vegetables. In fact, those individuals who consumed the largest amounts of vegetables and fruits were shown to be only half as likely to develop cancer as people who ate the smallest amount. An exclusive use of fruits would have produced even better results.
Health = BCD + pure water + pure air + sunshine + adequate exercise + adequate sleep.
More next time.

Changing Times
A big mouth college student challenged a senior citizen saying it was impossible for their generation to understand his world. "You grew up in a different world," the student said.
"Today we have television, jet planes, space travel, nuclear energy, computers, the internet..."
Taking advantage of a pause in the student's litany, the senior said,
"You're right sonny . We didn't have those things when we were young... so we invented them!"
